Default Anyone used the AEV Procal Module?

I was reading about the AEV Procal Module and like that I can make adjustments with my tires size and gear ratio's considering I am going to go with 513s soon.

Also wondering what the One touch turn signal/lane change deal was all about.. Not sure what that means? What is the smart bar as well??

he ProCal Module allows the user to reprogram several factory parameters including:
Tire Size
Gear Ratio
One Touch Lane Change ???
Daytime Running Lamps
Low Tire Pressure Indicator
Smart Bar Indicator Disable (after Smart Bar removal)????
Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes

One Touch Lane Change: Go out to your JK. Get in the drivers side, put the key in the ignition and turn it to ON. You don't need to start it. Tap the turn signal. Don't hold it on in the active postion and don't lift it enough to latch it on. Just tap and release. Your turn signal will flash 3 times and stop. Some people don't like this feature and it can be turned off.

The AEV procal is in my opinion the best programmer on the market if you are looking to reprogram tire size, Gear ratio, TPMS....

It does not give you any power gains.

And it is very simple to use.

If you are looking to add power you would want this one.

If you go to their website, you can download the user manual as well as the quick reference card. It'll give you a better idea of how the think works than reading a few sentences here.

but...

One Touch Lane Change (OTLC) Mode Description: This mode is used to enable and disable the One Touch Lane Change feature. OTLC allows the driver to signal a lane change by moving the turn signal lever partially up or down without moving beyond the detent. The signal will light up three times for each activation. Procedure: Consult the Quick Reference Guide and set the DIP switches accordingly. With the engine off and ignition on, plug the module into the OBD port and wait for the horn to sound. If the horn does not sound, consult the troubleshooting section of these instructions.

Automatic SmartBar System (ASBS) Mode Description: This mode allows the user to activate or deactivate the vehicle’s Automatic Smartbar System (ASBS). The ASBS is an electronic module that disconnects the front sway bar. For vehicles that were built with this feature, removal of the module will constantly illuminate the “Sway Bar” lamp on the dash. For vehicles that were built without this feature, addition of the module will not by itself enable the system. For either circumstance, the AEV ProCal can activate or deactivate the ASBS. Notes: Installing or removing the module must be done prior to using the ProCal Module. Procedure: Consult the Quick Reference Guide and set the DIP switches accordingly. With the engine off and ignition on, plug the module into the OBD port and wait for the horn to sound. If the horn does not sound, consult the troubleshooting section of these instructions.

The software is a pain in the a$$ to set up on your computer, after that, the programmer is bang simple. Better than the Procal, since you can set everything on screen and pull diagnostic codes, etc. The Procal is kind of futsy, you have to screw around with dip switches, but once you read through the manual the Procal is really easy to use as well.

Got rid of my Flashpaq because I could not get my engine to stop knocking (risking engine damage) and got a Procal from Northridge4X4. Dave is right, this thing is good... and cheap too!

I have had my Superchip Flashpaq for ~10 days. No knocking on 87 or 91 performance tunes. Did you work with SC tech support to resolve the pinging problem? I know Scott is pretty active in the forums.
