Default Procal programmer worth the $$?

I'm not spending the extra money on the superchip. Who's calibrated their JK's with the procal and do you like the outcome? I'm running 4:88's, 6speed 35's Thanks

i have the stock gears and i got the procal cuz i'm running 35's and i love the product for the money. it's easy steps to plug and go. i mainly got it because my speedo was off by about 8 miles an hr and now i'm the closest to the correct speed on the speedo that i could possibly get imo. plus you i set my lights to the "european" setting so when i put my jeep into gear my lights automatically come on. no more forgetting to turn off the lights.( my gf's problem). it's a great product bro.

I have one, and I love it. Really, whats not to love. It works as advertised, and is cheap

The only complaint I could think of that someone could have is that the programmer relies on the use of dip switches. As a software developer the idea of dip switches and binary isn't intimidating, but to each their own.

Go look at the circuit breaker panel in your house, it's just a row of On/Off switches. Same thing for dip switches, they are just really little. The supplied card will show you which combination of on/off will do the function you want. (first 3 down, next 2 up, last 4 down, or whatever...)

you can find em for 100ish used
Be careful if you buy a used one. They are VIN locked once installed, so you have to be sure that the previous owner went to the trouble of fully un-installing and returning to stock. If not, it is just a paper weight for you. (unless you ship it back to the previous owner to have them reset it, or pay AEV to do it for you)
