Default Will not changing the gears hurt anything?

I have a 07 Rubicon Unlimited. I am running 35's with a 2.5" BB. I pull a 16 ft trailer with 2 commercial mowers once a week on it and the jeep is automatic. Will leaving the gears the same hurt anything or is it just less power? Don't want to screw my new toy up.

should be safe if you turn off overdrive. if the jeep shifts between gears alot you could possibly overheat your transmission.

most people would tell you 5:38, 5:13's personally i would go with 4:88's because you use it as a daily.

This jeep is a money pit. I love spending money on it though. I will add it to the list of things I want to do. Thanks for the info.

I would pair Superchips up with the Re-gearing. You May want to look into the transmission cooler mod if your towing a bunch.

Don't know much about this. What are the difference in the gears?

Plug some numbers into the chart in the Drivetrain FAQ's.

With an auto, most will recommend the lowest (highest numerically) gears you can fit. But it depends on where and how you drive, and what your expectations are.

Costs vary widely, anywhere from $900 - $1800. Shop around, post in the Staging Area for your neck of the woods, talk to any local 4wheel drive clubs to see who they recommend, etc. Don't just jump on the lowest price you find, do a little research on them, and make sure they will honor their warranty.

Another thing to note is your towing. You tow with O/D Off, right? If you do a lot of high speed freeway towing to get to your locations, put some thought into the gearing choice. (using the chart, divide the final rpm number by .69 to get the o/d off rpms)

If the towing is all local to you, don't worry about it and go low.
