I bought 17" wheels becuase I already had 285/70/17 tires on my stock wheels. If I were buying tires and wheels together I would have went with 16" I think you can get a better selection of tires and a little cheaper for the 16"

I would go with a 16" because the wheels are cheaper, the tires are cheaper and it gives you more sidewall if you want to air down. Also I think it looks better.

Only the diameter of the tires will affect the speedo, not the wheels.

it not the rim that affect your computer / speedo, it the complete wheels size.
there is tools around to manage the change in wheels size

I got 18 here and if I want good off road tires I need to go down at last to 17.
