Default A Stock Clearance Measurement

I'm trying to help a friend. He bought the 4" Rancho kit with the lowering brackets which we removed and put the ca back in the stock locations. He was informed by his dealer that his warranttee was now void. They would cover it if it had no more than a 3 1/2" lift. It appears to me that after the bumpers and winch, it is a 3 1/2" lift. Is there a standard point of measurement on a 97 2d Rubicon, like the hub up to the fender, that he can compare his to, so he can argue that he has a 3 1/2" lift? He bought the lift from a well known chain in Tucson and they told him he didn't need new driveshafts, but to me, the back one looks pretty steep. I think he's going to have to use his $500 rebate to get rear upper adjustables and a rear driveshaft. For now, I'd like to help him get his warrantee back.
