Default Under seat drawers Tuffy vs Bestop

I'm looking to buy an under the seat security drawer. I see that there are 2 manufacturers selling them, Tuffy for about $100 and Bestop for around $50.

Does anyone have any of these? What is the difference between the Tuffy and the Bestop that warrants the huge price difference?

Maybe some of the sponsors can chime in and let us know some of the differences between the two.

Thanks

I got the bestop, it's great. My XD .40 cal fits in there perfectly, plenty room for other stuff too, not sure why you'd get the tuffy.

I have the Bestop under seat locking box. It's is surprisingly heavy and feels more like a safe than a lock box. I was impressed when I fially got it from Quadratec. There is no real need for a third bolt like the Tuffy as the bolts for the seat clamp it right down.

I am very happy with this item.

I'm looking for water tight locking storage for a laptop bag. Is there anything that is being manufactured that large that might attach to the tailgate? I sometimes like to go right from work to the woods and would feel more comfortable knowing my laptop is secure.

I was actually at Northridge 4x4 the day Dave did the side by side comparison.....The Tuffy was larger and much higher quality.....so much so that I had Dave install one that day. I opted for the combo lock which has been awesome!

I saw someone convert a pelican case one time for that purpose, but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it at. It wouldn't be to hard to do really...just a thought.
