Let's see which is the best all around tire for all types of terrain:
Cooper ST(T/C)/Duratrac
- Street: Fair/Good/Excellent
- Snow (light/heavy): Fair/Good/Excellent
- Ice (or packed snow): Fair/Good/Excellent
- Rain: Fair/Good/Excellent
- Mud: Fair/Good/Excellent
- Rocks: Fair/Good/Excellent
- Gravel (trails): Fair/Good/Excellent

I have the discovery ST's in a 35x12.50R17 and absolutely love them. I have run them in almost any condition you can think of and even now at 25,000 miles they look almost brand new. the only thing i can say that people might not like is that when you are driving on the road in snowy conditions they throw huge rooster tails out the back of your jeep cause they just clear out so well. They don't seem to be noisy at all on the road and still seem to have plenty of grip climbing rocks and dirt. I hope this helps...

well up here in Quebec, Canada, we have this winter tire law where the Duratrac would pass, not the Cooper...
So it's an obvious choice for me...

I agree with Jollydodger. They do good in the snow as well. They are also ready to accept studs if you live in an area that you would need those. I have almost 35k on ours and they are holding up great. It's a daily driver that sees woods trails on a regular basis. 315/70r17
