i believe the site is koolknobs.com. they have an adapter for our shifters. they also do custom knobs. i was thinking heavily about and old school black knob with a 6speed white engraving.

Not glued but stuck by friction.
ie. rubber hole is smaller than metal shift stick.

They're pressed on in a way. Here's a thread that talks about a few ways to remove the stock one: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/arch...hp/t-1283.html

I had the grenade shifted in my TJ, it felt really good in your hand if you set it right. It also came with everything needed to install it. Although I STRONGLY recommend using lock-tite on the set screws otherwise they will vibrate out from the minor vibrations that come up the shift stick.

It was also my in Jeep security system.
"Pul pin. Wait 5 seconds. If your still here you can have it!"

It was really easy to install, then again that was an '97 TJ.

You could make an adapter like i had done by one of the machininsts i work with. It's .002" press fit on the shaft so it wouldn't come off but did drill and tap for a set screw and threaded it for the size of the knob so i didn't have to use any of the insert adapters that came with it.

Look up Gennie shift knobs. They make an adapter called the "Lo Dapt III" that works perfect for the manual JK's. Just make sure you order the right one. Measure the diameter of the shifter rod and order the corresponding size. I believe it is 1/2", but don't quote me on that.

I board out the handle and put a set pin in the back of it. Stuck it on with silicon and screwed it down.
