Question Evap skid OR Evap relocation...

Looking for some opinions here!

I am leaning toward the poison spyder evap skid, however I am open to relocation if it is just as easy.

I would like to know what everyone has done and why, so please post!!

Any details about your mod would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks

Relocated it without buying anything...only issue was the heat shield we made to protect it wasn't good enough and I burned two holes in it and had to replace it...really would do it all over again...well except I'd have built a better heat shield to begin with. (relocated muffler at the same time so that's why the need for a heat shield)

Relocate it....It never should have been installed where it is from the factory.

Looking to hear more myself as it sounds like this is an issue that needs to be dealt with before any serious wheeling!

I suggest relocation. I relocated it and only spent $6.02
I took the bracket it is mounted on and cut the long end off. I shortened that end and welded it back the the bracket so that both ends are even. Then I purchased some 5/8" heater hose and relocated it. Fit bitchen.

I got skid row skid plate and have had no issues. The skid doesn't see much action and I play on rocks. It's more of a safety net mod. My lower control arm skids, diffs and gas tank skid see all the action.

Relocate it!
It's like a bump on a log where it is. There are tons of things you can do with the rearranged space under there.

I put the skid on. didn't want to risk warranty issues. took it wheeling pretty good and also my control arms took the action. Looking to by some plates for those.

I used Woods relo kit. It's tucked up above the axle where it should've been in the first place. Now I have a Flowmaster muffler where the evap can used to be.

i went poison spyder skid and love it .. it raises it up another 3/4" closer to the body plus adds extra side protection from heat...
