Default Opinions on first Jeep mods

2010 Unl. Sport
Auto

Narrowed to 2 Options:

AEV 3.5"
AEV bumper
35" MTR with 17" Pintlers

OR:

2.5" Teraflex coil lift
Xenon Flats body color (Flame Red)
Stubby front (havent decided yet, Rancho looks nice though)
37" Mud Grapplers or Toyo and 18" Rockstars

5:13 gears for both set ups, already have superchips

Opinions and pro/cons? both set ups will run 5k all in so price inst the concern.

Main concerns are road manners, daily driver, medium trails a few times a year

It might be just me, but i'm partial to the AEV bumpers and the MTR, why don't you do an AEV 3.5" flat flares and 37 MTR's?

With a complete AEV system your road manners should be just fine, and hitting the trails will be a piece of cake. The grapplers are kinda overkill if you're doing trails a few times a year. I'd stick with MTR or Toyo.

The better question is what the hell are we doing up at 3am?

Easier to stay awake then go to sleep!

Going to get a 55" Samsung LED in a couple of hours.

Any ride quality differences in the AEV vs. Teraflex...or even OME?

OME has better ride than stock for sure. Off road handles well too. I love my kit

I have the AEV 4.5. It handles great on road. The high lift steering kit puts everything back in alignment from the lift. You don't need to ditch any arms with their drop brackets but you lose about an inch or so of clearance only on the front lower control arm mounts. You can always not use them and opt for any good lower control arms (I use both: drop brackets and Rock Krawler arms)
I have the MTR's as well.
