Default LineX teh Bumpers

I am having my grill and sliders linx'd has anyone had any problems with having their aftermarket steel bumpers sprayed?

Thanks for the responses.

Just curious. How much were you quoted to have your sliders line x'd? I have a set of poison spyder rocket knickers coming in next week and was thinking about having them line x instead if powder coated. Thanks.

I'd love to hear others experiences also. Have a set of EVO sliders sitting here ready to get coated in something.

A related question is what others are doing if the get gouged pretty good. What do you guys do if they are say line x'd or powered coated. Not like you can just throw some touchup paint on there. I know it's a jeep and it shouldn't look perfect but can't leave bare metal exposed either. I heard a couple people using the rattle can spray on bed liner. Can't be as resilient but would be easy to touch up.

I believe Line-X has a lifetime warranty and any gouges they will fix under the warranty

had my interior Line-x'd in August and the guy told me it will bond to almost anything but doesn't recommend doing anything plastic as it will eventually peel off.

Change of plans. LinX nor powder coat is guaranteed with plastic. So I had the local paint shop paint the grill and he matched it to the exact finish as the Rockstar wheels. Looks good. I will post pics as soon as the weather clears up a bit.

On a 2009 2-dr I had both my front and rear bumpers Rhino coated. It was a bit pricey, but it turned out great and I had no rust or blemish issues with either of them. I just installed a new Benchmark front stubby on my 2011 and did not have it Rhino coated. My main problem with doing it is I have to take the bumper (115#) down to the coater, they sandblast it, and then coat it and I have to pick it up again and reinstall. You have to be careful to not have them coat areas that will interfere with installation points. Otherwise, it does look good and sure is worry free.
