Lod Signature Series Rails - How long to install
I got my LoD rails in yesterday. My question is for those who have installed them. How long did your install take and did you run into any problems that slowed you down?
this write-up should help out with the install...

took me about 2-3 hours to install and that was taking my time to make sure i got the holes drilled right the first time. when tapping the holes, make sure to use cutting oil as it will make the job so much easier. having an extra set of hands will help out a lot as the rocker guards are heavy and big and difficult to manage by yourself.

I know a guy who got them but had issues with some bolts on his stock skids that had stripped due to taking them off so often so he ended up having his sliders welded on.
When I got mine, I was all excited about putting these on myself until I started talking to a few others that had broken bits and taps during the process. You are basically drilling around 16 holes or so into your frame and each hole has to be drilled severl times (different size bits) before tapping them. One mess up and that bolt location probably won't be doing its job!
In the end, I took the easy but more expensive way out and paid someone to do it for me. The folks at LOD told me it would take between 3 and 5 hours. The shop I used did it in about 5 but a bunch of that time was not exactly dedicated to my Jeep so I was only charged for 3 hours of labor. Money well spent in my eyes.
Of course, as WOL mentioned, if you know what you are doing and have the tools, it won't be an all day affair.
And finally, congratulations on getting these. They are SOLID!!!! And in my eyes, they are the best looking sliders out there today! Saved my hump a bunch of time after picking bad lines! Got some scrapes on them but that's why they are on my Jeep!
Edit*** WOL...why couldn't those instructions have been posted back in february when I did my sliders? LOL!! LOD did not include any instructions with mine so they e-mailed me a few basics. If I had the Project JK write-up, I probably would have done it myself!

Took me about 5 hours, but I was doing the job by myself and taking my time to make sure I didn't screw up. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself some good cobalt drill bits. That frame is tough and will eat standard bits for lunch.
Took me about 4 hrs. Like wol said having a helper helps ALOT. There like 60 lbs and hard to manage alone. Also use a Jack or two if ya got em to get the slider tight on frame before u drill the holes.
