Default Tire Cleaning HELP!!!!!

I have Nitto Mud Grapplers. They are 35 x 12.5 x 18's They look like crap!!!!!
I have not been able to get them looking clean. I refuse to use any rubber treatment. I want them to just be clean black rubber. I have scrubbed and scrubbed but they continue to have a brown, yellow, green tint to them. I recently bout some wheel/tire cleaner and it helped alot but they still look like crap! My brother suggested "Comet Cleanser" I'm not to sure about that.

What is everyone else doing? H . E . L . P !

Ummm, what do you have against "brown, yellow, green" tinted sidewall?

Seriously, are you using a scrub brush? If not, try that and then maybe some SoftScrub. I know you are against using any tire treatment but 303 Protectant isn't just any tire treatment - it's space age cool stuff that really works

I detail cars on the side. Use Poorboy's Natural Look. If you need help on where to find it send me a pm. I get it from a nonsponsor. It can get kinda pricey but It works really well. For rims use Detailers Pride Gel Wheel Cleaner and then if you want that extra shine buff it with Detailers Pride Wheel Glaze. Looks great.

I'm using a couple different brushes. I'll try the 303.

i have been told oven cleaner works wonders on tires and rims...i prolly wouldnt try it tho on chrome wheels. Unless you have chrome wheels and dont like chrome At Ziebart we use mean green on some tires and a soft brass bristle brush...works great.

if you will use one of the "make tires shiny" brands, they actually will make the tires black again and do a pretty good job of it (meguires is pretty good). just give the stuff a few days for the shine to wear off and your black will be back...that is if you can stand a shine for a few days! surely noone will make fun of you during that amount of time?

I use westley's bleche-wite to scrub them and then treat them with meguiars high endurance tire dressing. The ghetto shine will wear off in a few days, leaving your tires jet black again. Of course if you cant live with the shine for even a day, wash your tires off with just the hose again after the dressing sits on them for a few hours.

If you don't like the shine, just hose them off again after you put on the tire dressing. They will stay black, but won't have the shine.
