Default News from Superior

Anyone have any info from Superior on their upcoming JK products? I know they have aftermarket axles out now and gears, but the axles are for stock splines. Im more interested in a 35 spline full floater kit with a detroit like they had for the TJ, maybe even one with an ARB. Anybody have any info?

I don't know the answer, but I saw an article in a 4WD magazine the other day. I can't remember the name of the magazine either. That's what happens when you get old.

The article talked about a complete D44 kit that came with 35 spline axles, gears and an Aussie or Detroit (can't remember) locker for the rear. You would move your rear factory locker to the front and get 32 spline shafts there. The locker would be activated by the factory wiring, but the kit comes with a compressor to engage it. Another neat thing is that the axles would be equal length in the rear instead of two different lengths like we have now. This would mean, if you wanted to carry a spare, you would only need one.

Wish I had more info.

Since it mentioned moving the factory locker to the front I'm assuming the kit is targeted to the Rubi but would work in an X, you just wouldn't have a locker to the front.

The magazine was in the waiting room of a shop that I had my alignment done at. I will swing by there and see if I can get the info. Maybe I can buy the magazine from them and quote it correctly.

OK, it's inthe October 2007 issue Four Wheeler Magazine on page 68. The locker in the rear is ARB.
