Default How do I get the most out of my budget boost?

I have a Mopar budget boost. Is there anything I can add to maximize the height of it? It's supposed to be 2.5", but it's barely noticeable when next to a stock Rubi.

If I add new springs or shocks or something, can I get greater height, or would I have to get a TRUE 2.5" lift?

Cheers!

How much lift do you want? And are you prepared to start adding any/all of the components that you will need to fix the problems associated with the extra height?

There are a few q&a's in the Suspension faq's with recommended components for various lift heights. It is a good place to start.

Ah, didn't know there was a suspension faq, thanks!

Also, no, I would like to keep it below that threshold where you have to compensate with all new components. In other words, I want to get the MOST of the lift as possible WITHOUT upgrading everything, otherwise I might as well just go 4", upgrade everything, and call it a day. (no budget for that, and my wife's too short to get in!)

Flat fenders (Bushwacker, PSC, EVO, Xenon, etc.) would help it look a bit higher and allow you to fit larger tires if you want to in the future.

A spacer is a spacer is a spacer. You get the listed height, nothing more. Unless you have added a lot of extra weight, or your stock coils have sagged, you should be noticeably taller than a stock rubi with those 2.5" spacers.

If you want more 'suspension' lift, I would suggest adding coils instead of stacking spacers on top. Since you have a 2door, you could find some cheap/free take-offs from an 4door hardtop rubi with tow package. Others have claimed they got an inch from that swap. For aftermarket coils, your best option would probably be the 1.5" performance leveling kit from TF.

Another option would be a body lift, depending on how much you like the look.

Thanks for all the suggestions! The difference btwn mine and a stock is somewhat noticeable when they're parked side by side, but I wouldn't say it's an obvious difference. Seeing it by itself, you'd be hard pressed to tell it's lifted by 2.5".

I know once you go beyond 2.5" on a 2dr, you have to change a bunch of components, so I guess I'm trying to find out what else I can do to keep me within that threshold but be as high as possible.

Would adding larger coils bring me beyond that threshold, anybody?

I have a RC 1.75" spacer lift and THAT is noticeably higher than a stock Rubi...
