I wish that I had the tools to fab one out of 3/16 steel.

Post Skids

Tera's is on the back burner. Gen-right will be releasing skid plates and other products in 1 to 2 months included will be a gas tank skid.

Not that this is an option for everyone, but I made one. I cut and welded a big plate of 1/8th (3/16 is really all that is needed). I added a chunk of 4X4 angle near the driveshaft, and an offset triangle for the front cross member. The front bolts on over the stock thing, and the rest is plug welded to the factory skid. It only took $60 in steel and cost less than $100 total. I already had the steel in a "scrap" pile so I used 1/8th.

I can jack the Jk up on my skid now. Hopefully the aftermarket will be along soon. I just hope it is not $1000 for the solution.

I get to say it first again!

Seriously, I'd love to see some pics of your fab.

1/8" is smaller than 3/16". the factory skid is about 1/8" thick. but i'd still like to see pics if you have some!
