Default Shrockworks Winch Plate

I just got my Shrockworks Stubby today, and put in on as well. I'm posting pictures in a few minutes. However, there is one question I have about the Winch Plate.

As shown in this crude diagram there are 8 holes. 4 are for mounting most Winches, and the other four are for mounting the powerplant. My Smittybilt uses the black holes from the first diagram. I would have thought the holes would be drilled farther apart so that a winch uses the right holes from each group of four, or the left holes, as needed to fit the winch, as shown in the lower diagram. Can anyone clear this up for me? If I upgrade to the power plant one day, will I use the inner sets of holes, that are not very far apart?

Looks awesome man! I have been tossing around the idea of the Pure Jeep vs the Shrockworks vs the Expedition One bumper but that definitely looks the sweetest. Would like to find out about the power plant cause I would like to upgrade someday too.

You got any pics of the winch mount system? Is th winch mount attached to the bumper or frame rails or both?

Looks good phishjeep. I love my AEV bumper, but I'm finding myself looking for ways to make it a stubby.
