Default Need help regarding CAI

Can any and everyone give me an opinion on whether or not it's worth getting a CAI over the stock filter. Please let me know asap cause I have to make the potential purchase today if I am going to make it at all.

Thanks ahead

Go for a snorkel. it'll help protect your engine from hydrolocking and it'll still pull in air from outside the engine cabin

I am gettin it for only $100 dollars from a person that barely used it. Is it that much of a waste or is $100 ok for it. I dont go trailing that much

$100 is pretty damn cheap, a snorkel will run you at least 4 times that. If your looking for a CAI for extra power, your money would probally be better spent on a superchip

I have a superchip already and I was not to worried regarding a CAI but since this one just fell on my lap and is being sold for $100 I figured I'd get some fellow jeepers advise. Has anyone out there felt any gains at all?

I honestly dont think my CAI did much of anything except make it sound different. I am seriously considering pulling it off and going back to stock.

CAI hasnt done much. more noticeable for sounds then any performance gains.

if you're a person that likes sound, it's worth every penny, assuming you don't play around in water.

i got an airraid and it is loud.

performance gains are on the high end, just feels like a smoother shift when it shifts gears.
