Default Extender the shifter

I decided that the stock shifter was too short for me so I started thinking...

I grabbed a piece of round stock and went to work. I ended up drilling and tapping it for a through bolt scenario, threw on some loctite until I get a chance to weld it up.
I'm done for the evening, tomorrow I'm gonna paint it and find a knob for it. What do you guys think so far? Not too bad for no welder. Finished pics to come.

Thumbs up Big-Long-Stick-Shift

Hmmm- Now that looks like a "very doable" Big-Stick mod, for sure. Bet you just started a lot of us thinking! I haven't looked under things to see what 'might be involved', but will be doing so soon. Lookin' forward to your finished product.

Looks as tho I'll be adding another item-line to my list of: "Gettt-er Dunnne"! {Good Thinking, out-of-the box, SideSwiper}:

OH god, you've just made me want to have my hand at my face when I shift now.

THANKS.

Nice job BTW, looking forward to the finished product.

Well, finished for now. Might change it up later on. Pretty simple mod so, we'll see how it works out.
Still looking for a knob, the baseball is just what I had laying around. Total cost was about $6 for the rod, already had everything else.

Sorry the pics suck... iPhone.
