Default Detroit trutracs

Im getting ready to order my new gears, and after some deliberation i've decided to go with some trutracs versus a locker. Its a daily driver with light to moderate wheeling 5-6 times a year. My question.....who has the best pricing for this item??? Suggestions....

Do you have them front and rear or just rear?

For pricing I type name and part numbers into google shopping. You get a nice list.

I have a Detroit softlocker in the rear. If you are going with a Trutrac you might want to consider a full locker. Just a thought. I have driven on the street with both and yes a slight to moderate difference with full locker, but off road no comparison. My experience with trutracs is they are not entirely invisible on the street either, but more so than a full detroit, but not much. Just my opinion. If ice on the roads is a problem, probably should get a selectable anyway. I'm a big fan of Detroit Lockers, they get you where you want to go! I do have a selectable up front though. Again this is just my opinion, some people may flip out if they ever feel anything slightly weird.

Ive had lunchboxes and selectable lockers in other jeeps and they didnt bother me, but they were dedicated off road machines..... My JK is my primary transpotation with a 100 mile a day commute... Plus I can get 2 trutracs for the price of a selectable.

TrueTracs are great for daily drivers that will see snow/ice. Haven't checked for the rear 44, but the d30 TT was $395 at 4wp. My local shop quoted me $375, but I don't know where he was ordering from. PM Northridge and 4WD and see what Dave/Bustabizz can do for you.

After seeing your post about 100 miles a day commute, I would definitely go with selectables. Man that's alot of driving. Just put a selectable in the rear for now, you'll be happier in the long run. You must be putting over 30,000 miles per year, again, thats alot of driving. It's awesome that you do it in a Jeep!

Default I got mine from Northridge

I don't remember what I paid but it was a great deal. I'd PM Dave for a price.
