Default Spare tire with Warn rear bumper

Anyone know of any issues with the Warn Rock Crawler Rear Bumper?

I'm planning on running it with my stock tire carrier until I can build or buy the tire carrier for it. I'm hoping my spare will fit w/ this bumper (My spare is 35") on the stock tire carrier for the time being.

Any input would be great.

I have the rear rock crawler and like it allot. I have no problems with it at all. Have 33" on now but shortly going to 37". Solid rattle free bumper.

That looks great! I have the option to pick up the bumper for a good price, but it doesn't come with the tire carrier. Any idea if it sticks out as far away from the tailgate as the stock bumper did? Also, any problems with making it work with the hitch?

the only problem you might run into running the stock carrier and the new bumper is the tire may not mount flat to the carrier. the bumper is very close under the tailgate. give me a few minutes, and I will go out and measure. I have the warn bumper and tire carrier

basically, when your tire is mounted on the stock carrier, does the bottom edge of the tire go below the bottom of the tailgate? if it does not, then you should be just fine

no problem with the hitch. the warn bumper has a small notch in it to fit over the hitch.

the rockcrawler extends 7.5" past the tailgate and the gap between tailgate and top of bumper is 3/4"

I don't know how high the stock carrier will bring your 35" tire up, but you may have to come up with some type of extensions or risers to accommodate it. I don't think the stock carrier is going to raise the tire high enough over the bumper, but I dont have those measurements. I had an after market carrier (cheapo) untill I could afford the warn carrier and my 37 had to sit at an angle because the tire went below top of bumper.

in the pic, you should be able to see the gap and also see how the stock hitch fitsClick image for larger version
