Default Help with BB ride

I recently installed a Teraflex 2.5" BB. However, the ride is like a tank now. Everytime I hit a pothole or speed bump it sounds like the rear end is falling off. Any suggestions to get a smoother ride?? I realize its a jeep and I do not expect it to ride like a BMW but it is really rough.

If you are running spacers it shouldn't feel any different. Are you sure you springs are seated correctly? Did you loosen and retorque your control arms? Did you swap your rear sway bar links to the front?

Can you post a pic ? I just installed the same lift last week and I don't have any of these issues. It's going to be stiffer when u hit bumps being that your coils are now compressed.

I would def go back and make sure everything is torqued. When you put the coils back up, did u make sure the they were properly centered on spacers while going back up into housing?

I only took off sway bar links, shocks and had to do new brake line mount. Their is not alot involved with the BB so I should not be hard to track down.

If you just installed spacers and shocks your springs shouldn't be compressed. Otherwise spacers wouldn't lift it.

In the rear, the spacer on top of coil is exactly what lifts it, that's why they provide shock extensions.

When I say compressed, I mean a slight compression which is going to happen via, spacer + weight of frame...

Post a few pics of the rear end. As others have mentioned, it could be over-compressed coils. Or maybe bumpstops that were installed backwards? But easier to diagnose with a pic.

Didn't think about the bump stops.

Yep, the TF rear bumpstops have that extended lip that can get hung up if installed backwards.

The only thing it could possibly get caught on is the upper bolt on the sway bar connect, but I'm not sure if the mount will even catch that?

I agree and I didn't think about foam piece getting caught underneath on the way back up.

If his suspension is cycling that much just from bumps in the road, then his springs and coils are shot!
