Default Removing grill for body lift?

Just got my Daystar 1" body lift kit and instructions indicate removal of grill early on. I haven't gone out to look at the JK closely to see why this is necessary and I don't recall anybody mentioning this here.

Anybody had to do this with the body lift? No big deal if I do, just curious.

I haven't done a body lift yet so I don't know if you have to remove the grill but if you do have to, it should be pretty easy especially if you don't have a winch in the way. According the FSM, there are 6 plastic screws holding it in place at the top and the bottom is just held in place by trim tabs.

I have the MORE 1" body lift, but I'm sure it is essentially the same. Yes, the grill needs to be removed. It is very simple to do so.

I am really thinking about doing the 1" body lift but it seems like it will take longer to install than than the one hour in instructions. Is it hard to move the grill with a winch installed?

It took me about 1.5 hours to install my 1" MORE body lift. It was the first body lift I have installed in almost 20 years. I can still remove my grill even with my Shrockworks bumper and Warn Powerplant winch in place.

Thanks all, yeah, the instructions make it sound easy and I know I've heard before on here that it's easy to remove, but just wondering. Hope to have time to get it done this week!
