BB Questions
If comparing the lifts from the same company no. a 2.5 TF may not equal a 2.5 RC. With the coil lift you can still slide in a leveling kit with no problem when you start changing bumpers and things. Lots of folks are against stacking pucks. 2.5 should not give you any problems with major part swaps and if you get a quality kit it should come with everything you need. Getting up past 2.5-3 you may need to get a few items.
For TF:
The 2.5" BB gives 2.5".
The 2.5" Coil gives 3.1"
The coils will handle weight better than the stock coils with a spacer on top.
As you lift higher, the axles are moved further offcenter. The caster gets lower. The swaybars point further down. The brakelines get stretched. The driveshaft angles get steeper. And so on.
You do not have to get any other components. But you may want them.

Yea I was just not sure, with a 2.5 BB I know on my unlimited I don't need a new front drive shaft but if I go 2.5 coil just was not sure if that lift would cause me to have to replave my front drive shaft. Looking at Tera Flex for either kit.
People are losing driveshafts with that lift height, but there are a lot of factors involved and nobody can say whether or not you will lose one.
With a 4door, odds are that your rear shaft will be fine.
With an auto, you may have issues with the with the front. Install the lift, find someplace close to flex it, get out and crawl underneath and check your clearance. The big boot in the middle may rip, but it isn't a huge issue. Bashing in the corner of the tranny pan is. And watch for grease from the joint at the tcase end of the shaft, once it starts spitting you will want to look for a replacement.

Great...lol Man mine is an auto so thats why i am scared. If i have to put in a drive shaft then i'll just to a big lift and be done with it. I just thought a 2.5 coil lift would be better in the long run asi will be putting on front and rear bumpers on in the future. Thanks guys.
