Default Total Confusion About Springs

I have found that the left side front spring# is 12, on my 2007X. Therefore I would think that the right is #13. If I only want a 2 inch lift in the front what number front springs would you guys recommend. Thank You for any and all help.

im confused, too...

are you saying that you just want to upgrade to factory rubicon take-offs? doing so, will get you about .5-1", no where close to 2". this is the only scenario where the coil #'s you mentioned will matter. for instance, my rubicon came with 59 rear and 17 front. so, if your JK has anything less than those #'s and is a 2door (mines a 4), you would see more stiffness and some height increase.

many people have upgraded to Rubicon suspension when they add a leveling kit to get an extra lift and added stiffness for adding bumpers and heavier spare tire. Rubicons come with better shocks and usually stiffer springs.

if you only want a 2" lift, look into this route. a teraflex leveling kit is about $139 and will give you 1.5" of lift. adding rubicon coils will give you that extra .5" or so that you are looking for.

another cheaper way to get a small lift is to do a budget boost (BB). there are 2" and 2.5" BB's. teraflex makes a 2.5". BBs are different than coil lifts because BB's use spacers with factory coils, so you get 2.5" of lift, not more like the 2.5" coil lifts. a 2.5" coil lift is going to get you closer to 3.25" of lift.

if you plan to add heavier bumpers and larger spare tire, you can also use rubicon suspension to compensate for the extra weight.

I used a set of 17's off a Rubicon unlimited and it gave me a 2.25 lift using a daystar 3/4 spacer front and rear. Its a great cheap small lift.

X2 on the TF 2.5" BB... I went from 17/58 to Rubi 18/59 before my BB and it leveled out my front end (no more raking). When I installed the lift I got the full 2.5" and maybe closer to 3" do to the Rubi coils. I'm in process of switching to Rubi shocks as well. BB, Rubi coils and shocks is a simple inexpensive way to lift until you move on to an actual suspension lift and are sold all day on forum, CL and eBay.

On a 2 door X my friend got 1.5" up front and 1" in the back by adding 18/19 up front and 59 in the back. Just a reference.
