Default PSI for 33's

I'm hopefully putting a set of 33x12.50-15 KM2's on my jeep this weekend as long as the rest of my wheels come in today. What pressure do you guys recommend running them at? Does 32psi sound like a good start?

I think alot of shops do 35 and that's what I ride on and it's fine BUT alot of guys here also are down around 33 psi so I think that's what I'm going to try myself.... Should be a little softer ride and hopefully no fuel mileage loss.... I'm on 35" Mickey Thompson MTZ's 12.5x17

I run my km's at 30 psi....they are 285's/75/r16(33's) they are closer to 32 on the jeep though...especially at 30 psi...I like the ride...I think at 35 psi or higher the ride might start getting rough.

Chalk test!! Do it yourself cause every tire/rim/seatofthepants combo could be different from the next guy's. It's a balancing act between ride comfort and tire wear. Also pay attention to the load range of the tires you are looking at. Higher the letter, the stiffer the ride.

I have 32in on 17in rims and got my JKU with 32psi from dealer. I tested 35psi (as in the door plate) and am enjoying much more. Test yours and see which you (and your Jeep) like most. ;-)

I just reduced the pressure in my yokohama 305x70xr16's from 40 to 35psi, I have a lesser feeling of the threads now at low speeds. I was amazed to at very low speed you easily can feel the rough thread pattern.

It all depends on the tire and rim setup. A load range D tire will not leave as nice a footprint as a load range C tire. A 8" wide rim will not leave a wide footprint with a 12.50 tire like a 10" wide rim.

Most results seem to be around 30 psi. I would say set it at 30-31psi and then chalk test from there.
