Default LoD touchup!

Hey guys, Chris from LoD told me awhile back but I can't remember what he told me. Anyone know what they recommend for touch up on their products?

From my experience I would say just pull the parts off and have them professionally powder coated or this will be an ongoing issue because of poor prep work before they were coated by the OEM.

Oh sorry JPop. I should have been more clear. The powdercoat on mine is great! Chris did the zinc primer powdercoat on them. I just want to touchup a couple spots due to shipping where the screws scraped through.

If you are talking about scratches on your sliders, you can deburr with a file if needed and hit it with some rustoleum paint that matches (mine gloss black).

Default LoD Paint Job

I have LoD bumpers front and back and while I like the design, looks, and overall quality, their paint job leaves much to be desired. They claim their bumpers are powder coated but the paint chips off easily especially around the edges. I'm actually considering removing them and taking them to my local powder painter and having them re-done correctly.

Again I want to stress that LoD makes awesome bumpers, I just wish they would have put a better quality paint job on them.

My sliders were far worse than that and I could knock off quarter size chunks of whatever coating they used with a fingernail.

I seem to have the exact problem with most of my stuff. The Lod bumpers are holding up the best. I had other stuff fenders ect powder coated damn crap chips. I'm wondering if this stuff is alot thicker and larger maybe there not baking it long enough? I'm becoming a duplicator bedliner man myself I cover everything with that stuff now.
