River Raider Oil Pan Skid - Problem Solved!!!!
Upon installing my RR skids I noticed a vibration that started at around 1600 rpms and continued to about 2100 rpms. I have been trying to troubleshoot this for nearly a year. Then a few days ago I was crawling around under my jeep and noticed that the two stainless transmission cooling lines that run along the driverside of the engine just above the oil pan were touching the skid.
How did I not notice this before?
I removed the skids and the vibration/noise stopped!
I spent today grinding metal for the needed clearance and priming and painting the skids for re-installation.
If you have the RR oil pan skid package and an automatic transmission, you may want to check for clearance. I was lucky that the lines were not damaged.

Something to watch for.
Question for you: how's the clearance between the skid and your transmission oil pan? Mine is pretty darn close, and I already notice a couple small dents after only a couple wheeling weekends. I'll attach a pic later.
Also, if you're talking about the drivers side, why are you posting pics of the passenger side??
How do you like the RROR skids? Are the worth the money? I have been thinking of ordering them (assuming they fit my 12 when it gets here).
I have read alot of people saying they arent needed but I would feel better as a rookie knowing that the underside has some protection.

1 -Passenger side
2 - Driver side, some minor rub marks on the oil pan
3 - bracket that holds-off the tranny lines. You need to make sure you re-bend the lines and not just force them onto the pin. If you force it, you'll just end up kinking the rubber sections behind the tranny.
I love these skids. They're damn heavy, but I wheel soundly knowing that I can slide over anything without risking anything important.

They included a small arm with mine that took the mount that holds the lines next to the bottom of the engine, and pushes it to the side by about an inch. In the process though, it also kinked the rubber portion of the lines right behind the rad.
Something to watch for.

Clearance between skid and transmission pan is close but more than adequate.
Posted pictures of passenger side because that's all I had uploaded from a previous post on this subject and was too lazy to go out and take more pictures showing driver side view...LOL
Both my oil pan skid section and transmission pan skids have some nice scrapes and at least one "ding" where it quite possibly save my oil pan from being dented. I did some sanding and re-painted them this spring to stop the rust process.
I have a "love/hate" relationship with these RR skids. They are great looking, heavy duty and have a smooth, continuous transition from engine/oil pan to transmission pan allowing you to "slide" over an obstacle. I have a video of me powering my stock Rubi up a slick muddy hill where you can see a large rock disappear under my front bumper and then you hear a loud "bang" and "clack" noise as the skids did their job. I nicked the front corner of the oil pan skid and the transmission pan skid allowed me to slide over the rock with no loss of momentum. RR skids took the hit and just shrugged it off.
But the clearance issue with the two lines on my automatic transmission JK kind of sucked. Then when I put my Full Traction 3" long arm suspension on, the factory cross member is removed and replaced with the FT one that comes with the kit. Since the RR skid is designed to bolt to the factory cross piece, I had to have the transmission skid chopped and bent, basically had to re-engineer it to work on my new lift.
