Default best lift kits

OK I'm sure at one time or another a conversion comes up about what is the best lift kit out there and you always hear about this one is better then that one and you need this and not that so i would like to open this for discussion again because i would like to get as many opinions and facts on what jeepers say about what is really needed in a lift from 1" to as big as they can go and what was used and what are the pros and cons so that myself and everyone else can make a good decision on what lilt kit is right for them and there needs.

just curious... did you use the search feature (upper right) and read any of the threads (or stickies) regarding this already?

you're about to get a million different answers and they will all relate to 'what are you going to use your jeep for' ?

What size of tire do you want to end up running? Let's start off with that first, then it's easier for forum members to chime in on what kit would be good for you.

OK what i was hoping for was if jeepers who bought and installed there lift would give there opinion on what they thought about there lift, like if they would go a different way or if they put together a lift by using parts to make up a lift that worked also what parts are a must in a lift and what is a waste of money and is not needed so you could look at a different lift. Thanks All

The amount of information you are asking for is a bit overwhelming. You need to narrow it down a bit such as size, price ect...

I'll chime in, for what its worth.

I got a super lift four inch kit from the dealer and installed it myself.

Shocks and springs are great.
Came with front adjustable track bar, i purchased a rear due to the bracket.

All brake lines were extended and have held up well.

Had to purchase front and rear adjustable sway bar links, quick discos in the front.

Did not install cam bolts, but have to purchase front and rear drive shafts with adjustable control arms. Not necessary, but Im going to be running them. My JK is going to be around awhile, drive shafts are a necessity.

For now i have lowered it back to stock springs with the help of heavy d, thank you, and am well on my way to getting it dialed in.

Front drive shaft has been shot for over 10k miles, rear just started spitting grease at 55k.

I am probably going to replace the four inch coils with 2.5 inch coils. These four inch coils could easily roll 37s if i could move the axles out a bit. I am only looking to roll 35s for the time being, that's my next set of tires. After regearing and such, another larger size tire will be in order. I would hate to grenade my d 30 and be riding the old gt bmx to work.
