clunking sound from front end
basic stats
Fulltraction ultimate 4" lift
Northridge sway bar links
coast drive shafts
35" tires
i think my electronic sway bar is about to break, this is my first one so I am no expert.
me and a 10 year journeymen mechanic looked over my jeep to identify a clunking sound coming from the front end. When the Jeep is warm it happens all the time when it's cold you can't get the sound to appear. when the vehicle is warm and you rock the jeep back and forth you hear the clicking fom the front bumper area. we ruled out everything and we are 99% sure it's the sway bar dissconect. on the trail the jeep clunks and clicks so loud it sounds like something is going to snap off.. (when articulating)
are these things natorious for breaking? are there other options for replacement?
I dont want to bother with another electronic dissconect if this thing I already broken

It sounds like the swaybar links or your track bar is loose. Lay under the jeep with the engine off and have someone move the steeringwheel back and forth. What ever the problem usually presents its self. My bet is something is loose.

thanks for all the info guys.
I discovered it was my upper control arm bushings at the fame. Fulltraction is sending me all new bushings to replace the noisy ones, free of charge under warranty. I was told about 2 weeks.
I also had a loud clunk that would happen at full flex.. it turned out to be the front coil catching on the bump stop .. the only way I know to fix this is to remove the bump stop
