Default Front LCA Length

I've seen different numbers thrown around in various threads on what length to set the front lower control arms prior to initial install. I realize the end result is achieving the correct caster but I would prefer not to have to install then remove then install, etc. Would like to get close enough first time around. 23 inches eye to eye seems to be what i need? I have a full traction 3 inch lift. It netted closer to 4 inches in front though. And just to confirm, I'm shooting for caster between 4.5 and 6 correct? Still running stock wheels/tires w/spacers.

Thanks!

23in eye to eye is a good starting point. Set it there , drive it and see how you like it.

If you feel it is still abit flighty, increase in 1/8in increments and test drive.

i recently heard that the driver side should be a tad shorter because if they are equal length it will cause a u-joint in the front to bind? is this true?
i'm going to adjust mine tomorrow when i put on my 3/4 inch spacers giving me 3 1/4" lift in front i used to have a little vibration at around 50mph, then i brought the arms back giving me about 4.5-5 caster and i still barely have this going on. i might give the drivers side one less rotation or so.

Um, haven't heard that one.But some adjust the passenger side abit longer to help correct a pull to the right if you have one. In fact my pass side is set 1/4in longer. But , when i was running a shorter lift, they were set evenly cause I didn't have any pull.

Interesting. So I have a sight pull to the left due to my bilstein SS. Should I try to compensate for that or just make my arms the same length?

Try same length first, if you still have a pull to the left, lengthen your driver side by 1/8in and check, go from there.

So getting ready to have the lower arms installed tomorrow. Asked my installer to do 23 inches eye to eye. Here's the interesting part, using a tape measure, my factory arms are already 23 inches eye to eye in length. So how will adding my adjustable arms set to 23 inches eye to eye help me?
