Default River Raider expedition snorkel install

Has anyone installed this kit?

.riverraider.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=149[/url]

I am considering fabricating something similar but I can't find any good pictures of the stock air box mod, the battery tray relocate and where/how it goes thru the wall and out thru the top.

Any pictures or ideas would be very helpful.

Yea, My favorite design so far. I haven't done a lot of digging in the engine compartment, but this design comes out on a joint on top of the jeep. I'd like to see if I can move it over enough so that when I cut the hole for the inlet, I only ruin one piece that shouldn't be too terribly expensive to replace should I decide to sell (however unlikely that may be) down the road. I don't have all my ducks in a row yet, but I'll be sure to take plenty of pics when I finally get ready to fab this up.

Yea, that's the one I just found. That's pretty close to what I was wanting to do. Excellent write up and looks good. Thanks for the pics.

Sounds good, thanks for the offer. I'm still gathering intel and of course trying to come to grips with the fact that I'm going to cut my new rubicon with a hole saw.... But it's gonna happen soon, and I'm pretty sure I'll take you up on the offer. I'll be reading over your write up several times to make sure I know what I'm getting into. Thanks again.

Best advise I can give is patience and check your measurements multiple times before you cut. You only get ONE shot and that's it. If the hole in cowl and firewall aren't exactly lined up it's ok, but you'd rather have it as close as possible..
