Picture of steering shaft boot to fix clunk?
Hi everyone,
I've been looking through a lot of the past threads on the steering clunk and there seems to be a chance at fixing it buy spraying amsoil 5th wheel grease in the rubber boot. I'm hoping that I don't have to replace the shaft and this will fix it. My uncertainty is that I don't want to make a hole in the wrong rubber boot somewhere under the hood. In none of the threads did anyone post a picture of the correct boot to poke a hole in.
Can anyone describe the location or show a picture of it by chance?
Thank you,
EDIT: and is there any other option besides the amsoil 5th wheel grease? It appears they discontinued it a year or two ago :(

And I just used the lucas red n tacky that I grease all my zerks with. Bought a little needle adapter (not the bigger needle adapter for the needle zerk in double cardans, just a little needle adapter from the autoparts store), poked a tiny little hole in the boot, filled it up and wrapped over the hole with electrical tape just in case. 6 months now and no more clunk.

x2 thanks! I've been to the dealership 3 times trying to figure out what the steering clunk is and each time I leave it starts up again within a few days. I've asked them about replacing but the answer is always no TSB issued. I'm doing this today cause now that I have my lift on i'm sure they will tell me it's due to the lift!
