Default Rubi to X transfer case swap, does type of transmission matter?

I've searched this forum and I'm finding conflicting information in regards to this swap. Some state that swap a rubi T-case into an X that they both have to come from the same transmission (auto or 6 speed) and others say it doesn't matter. I have a line on a rubi t-case from an auto and I have the 6 speed, before i pull the trigger on this has anyone actualy swapped out the t-case from one transmission to another? If so is it a basic plug and play swap regradless of what tranny you are going from/to?

any advise would be great!
thanks,

I have switched an 08 transfer case from an auto into a 07 manual and it was the same Tcase. from your profile you have an 08, I know of no Changes in the 08's that would suggest any Tcase or Transmission output changes. In other words you should be fine.

Note: you will find that the part numbers are different between the auto Tcase units and the manual Tcases. I don't know why the part numbers are different, because the Tcases are the same.

I actually have an'09 but that shouldn't matter. Good ton know that the t/cases are synonymous between an auto and an X.

By putting a rubi case in an X the diff ratio shouldn't matter, correct?

I'm looking to get a slower crawl ratio as I find that when wheeling there are times that I want/need to slow it down on 4L.
