Default Is Buschwacker flat rear driver's flare supposed to have a dimple?

About to install these flares. I know, I know. Cut them for free, etc. I like the look of the BW.

Anyhow, the driver's rear flare has a small indentation/dimple right about where the gas cap area is.

Is this normal? None of the other flares have this. Also, I assume that the top part of the flare goes onto the flat part of the body panel (vertical part) and not into the indentation for the stock flares.

Thank you for your help!

On a side note, put a nice big dent in the front bumper driver side. These things should come with stubby's stock. Time to cut or get a stubby.

It's for the fuel fill. These are nice flares but take some time to put on correctly mostly cutting the inner fenders properly. Take your time and do it right.

Yes, it's for the fuel. Yes, take your time. They are a nice set. Have them, took about 4 hours to put on with help.
