After reading the newest JP, I'm curious if anyone knows how much their Jeep weighs. For comparison, here are some stock weights I found:

If you know, please post with model of Jeep, and anything that might change the weight from stock (bumpers, winch, lift/tires, non-stock axles, skid plates, hard top, etc.) I imagine those who tow should have a pretty good idea of what their Jeep weighs. I don't know what mine weighs, but I'm guessing about 4000 (200 heavier then stock). Thanks in advance for the replies!

 

5600. certified scale; Teraflex long arm, hemi, 5 speed auto, lod rear bumper, pure Jeep front bumper, 9.5 winch, 37 Km2s, AEV beadlocks etc. Next week it will gain weight. Pro Rock 60s, 39.5 Iroks, Spyderlocks, 1350s, Hydor assist

 

Not sure about the weight now but shortly after I got it, it weighed in around 4500#
for a 09 Sahara Unlimited 4 dr.

 

I had mine weighed with no doors, top, and an empty tank and it was at 5340. Have you stripped anything out of it to save weight?? I mean the bumpers alone are 200+..

I think your stock weight data doesn't include any options, such as AC, hardtop, 17" rims and tires, etc. It also may not include oil, gear lube, brake and coolant fluids, steering fluids, and refrigerant. And it definitely doesn't include fuel and a driver. I should go look up the 1960's CJ5 with the V6, but I'll guess it was around 2600#.

 

Where do you go for a weigh in? can you just go to your local port of entry?

 

Usually you can find them on the freeway outside of towns or at gas stations that serve a lot of semi trucks.

 

Find a place that sells stone. They do it by weight and have drive on scales.
