Default Noob??Fender trim for Sahara????

So i see everyone trimming there fenders on their jeeps. But i have only ever seen it done on x and rubicon models with the plastic flares. Is it possible to do this on sahara model with the painted flares? Has anyone done this? Pics? Probably a noob question but i wasn't sure and figured someone one here has tried it seen it or knows what can and can't be done

I think the paint would chip if you were to try that on sahara fenders. Id prolly paint them with bedliner afterwards if i was to cut mine

Some have cut them and install weather stripping around the edges. Doesn't look too bad. The alternative would be to just repaint the fenders

There are people that have used the same write up as Reds to cut their Sahara, and they turned out just as good. I would assume as long as you cut along your tap line, there shouldn't be any issues with the visible paint after you put the trim on. I am probably going to do my Sahara fenders once I get the money set aside for Bushwackers as a backup, lol.
