Bending Stock fender flares?
Anybody thought of heating up the stock fenders and straighten the lip? I just arrived in Italy and the inspection place told me that I cannot have my tires sticking out. So, wondering if I can just heat them up on the edge and pull them a lil out? That might cover my 35's?
Any thoughts?

Sorry to bring back an old thread.
Has any one done this yet?? I was thinking the same thing or possibly plastic rivet a 2 inch strip of abs plastic to the bottom edge..
I'm already 3 inch past the fenders and not a fan of the pocket fenders.

Well, its basically a similar material to what the stock bumpers are right? I banged my stock bumper in when I had it and used a heat gun to re-form it. I know others have done similar forming when chopping the front bumper into a stubby and folding the ends over. I guess you could test an area to see if a heat gun can allow you to reshape the lip.
First of all, living in Florida I don't have this problem have you though about ripping a 2x4 and screwing it to the edge. Done right and you match the profile it could look good and could be removable too.
Theres a ton of cheap 200-300 dollar stock take offs all over craigslist, just grab a set and dont bother ruining your fenders because theyll prob cost more to replace then just grabbing some cheap bogna skins
