Question: Are slightly bowed springs going to cause problems down the road?
I have bowed front springs due to a lack of adjustable control arms. Is this going to screw anything up?
what size lift? the bowed springs wont cause a problem but there like that cause you need the adj arms. problems will be caused by in correct castor and driveline angles
2" in front, 1" in the rear. Just a leveling kit. I had it adjusted yesterday and it drives fine. I am just nervous about not vertically straight springs. I am hoping I am not screwing something up.
If they are bowed it means something is not positioned correctly, I.E. spacers or coil not sitting on perch correctly.. I personally wouldn't (couldn't) drive around like that... Not saying it would, but it would suck if that coil popped out while driving and caused damage..
I've pulled the springs off and reset everything...nothing is offset or not sitting correctly. The springs are seated correctly at the bottom, in the rut and the isolator is perfectly set onto the spacers. I am thinking that adjustable control arms are the only way to go. See, the bottom seat for the spring is not parallel with the spring bucket at the top, so the spring has not choice but to bow into position. I guess without those adj control arms, I either have to live with it, or remove components to try and alleviate that bow. We'll see. Im more inclined to be like you...bowed seems kinda bad. I dont want to break anything.

I ran into this issue (rear) while installing a BB for a buddy of mine.. The spacer was not seated correctly inside the housing. We had to drop the axle twice and guide it while jacking up one side at a time...
