Default kind of an oops...i think

what happens if you dont wipe off brake cleaner from inside your diff? is it alright to just let it air dry for a while? i just re-read the DIY and i realized that it says to wipe it clean. when i changed my diff fluid in my prorock44 after break-in i didnt wipe it off, i just let it sit for a while until i thought it was dry...how do i tell if its contaminated? its 40 degrees out and i really dont feel like taking my diff cover off

i would think your fine. break clean drys really fast so if you let it sit it should have evaporated. not my area of expertise but that's my input

Wipe out any puddles, but a light film will dry/evaporate quickly (as you found out) and will be fine.

I'm a mechanic and use brake clean all the time. It is one of the only cleaners that drys and leaves not residue. You will be fine as everyone else says.
