Default Weight of 35" tires

Ok, I have a stock 2011 rubicon unlimited that I want to do the AEV 3.5 lift and run 35"s. looking at the weight of the tired vs performance of the vehicle itself. How's everybody else performance with this set up? Really not looking to do any re-gearing. I'm looking at the Duratrac's. One, because I like the tread and heard good things about them. Second, the weight is less than most in that size. Thanks for your responses in advance!

Duratrac's are definitely the way to go. I just wish they made them as a 37!

I would go with the 37 Duratrac's as well if they made them

Another vote for DT's. Maybe cuz that's what I run. Can't get much lighter for a tire...plus they last a long time, kick ass in snow and mud and wet conditions, etc.

I'm running 315/75R16's on my rig, a '12, and have noticed a significant decrease in power in 6th (got a manual, 3.73) on the freeway, and on all but the smallest hills. Stick em on an '11, and the difference is gonna be much more noticeable. I'm looking at 4.88 for my regear...you should probably think 5.13 or 5.38.

Yes, I read your initial post, where you said: "Really not looking to do any re-gearing."

My opinion is, that's not realistic for your Jeep and 35's.

Of course, you should drive it under various conditions first and decide for yourself.

Thanks for the info. What kind of price should I be looking at for re-gearing? I really want the look of the 35"s bit I don't do much wheeling yet.

I have the 315/70/17 on my Jeep and running the stock 4.10 gears. I haven't noticed any need to regear yet!
