Default A few lift questions

First a little background: Looking at installing a 2.5" lift on my 2011 unlimited sport soon. I'm planning on the 2.5" Teraflex coil lift with shock adapters. My JK has about 6k miles and I would replace the adapters with longer shocks when the stockers wear out. I plan on running 35" tires and I already have 4.5 backspaced wheels. As long as my jeep is my DD and only vehicle 2.5" of lift and 35" tires is going to be as big as I go.

My questions are:

Is this Teraflex kit a good long term lift? I'm going to have this Jeep as a DD and trail rig for many years hopefully, and I want to do the lift right. Any issues with the springs sagging?

Is there anything else I need that doesn't come with the kit? I hear an adj. front trackbar, and maybe control arms. Are these necessary?

How does the on road feel compare with stock? I like my stock ride, I know it will likely be stiffer, and that's fine, but I don't want to be beaten to death.

Thanks for the help!

I went with the kit you are looking at and also purchased the adjustable track bar. You might want to trim your fenders a little because they will rub, when off roading. I am thinking a 1" body lift, not really feeling the trim fender look.

We have put together a great package deal for our forum customers utilizing the popular Teraflex 2.5" coil kit that will allow you to run up to a 35” tire (aftermarket wheels with 4.5” backspacing or less are required/ or wheel spacers). Fits all JK Wranglers including Rubicon and Unlimited.

Pairing this kit with the Bilstein 5100 shocks get you one of the best riding JK setups on the road with MUCH improved off road capabilities.

We are offering FREE SHIPPING on this kit to the lower 48 states and have great international rates as well. State tax added to price for California residents only.

$740.00 OTD

I have been told the price will go up in January 2012, that is a sale day away!

After the sale the price will look some thing like this:

Teraflex JK 2.5" Lift Kit $451.99
Bilstein 5100 Shocks $84.99 ea. x 4 + $339.96

That is $791.95 - Plus shipping, depending on what part of the country the $ could add up.
