I have not heard of people needing new drive shafts for a 3" lift on a 2 door JK.
A 2.5" budget boost will be perfect for 35x12.50x r17 tires, and will maintain all your factory components

You guys need to read a little more.

Theres alot of us needing new rear driveshafts for the 2 door and a 3" lift.

The front should be OK for awhile. The rears steep it'll cause your driveline to fail after awhile. You might last 12 months, it might only last 3 months.

My rear failed about 3 or 4 months after the install of my 3" lift..

So what was required to fix the problem? If its the angle can you buy a bracket to drop the angle to go along with the BB?

You shouldnt have much issues with a BB lift. But a 3" you will.

You have to buy a U-joint style driveshaft.

well thats because he doesnt know what he is talking about. I would find a mechanic that has more knowledge about the JK's.

You would need that If you were lifting a TJ (1997-2006)

Jk's dont require a SYE.

its just the driveshaft and possibly a yoke depending on what you want.

I can't tell from your pictures, but are your driveshafts the heavy duty 1350. or 1310? How much lift will the 1350 be usable on? Can I put on 1350 with a 2-3 inch lift and then upgrade to 4 inch later? What about 6 inch?

I'm running the 1350's.

I've read where they say the 1350's will bind up before the 1310's. But really dont thinks its that big of an issue. However I could be wrong. Its happened once before...

I dont know what size lift the shafts are good too. Just from looking at them at full drop I would guess, a 4" lift would not be an issue. I keep meaning call Fulltraction and ask.

I plan on going to the 4" long arm, as soon as money will allow me. So I guess I should find that out!
