I'm getting ready to regear and add a locker... I'm thinking a Eaton ELocker ... anyone running one please let me know what you

idk anyone running anything other than ARB air lockers in JK's. But I do have a friend who has eaton e lockers front and rear in his XJ and he's had alot of problems with them. I am also in the market for lockers and curious to any info!

Don't the Rubi's have electric lockers?

 

Yup Mine have worked great (knock on wood) for the last 4 years.

The rubi e-locker is different than the Eaton e-locker, I don't recall who makes the rubi version, or even what the name of the rubi locker is. (it isn't e-locker, everyone just calls it that. Trac lock, maybe?). Eaton has an e-locker version for the JK front D30, and the NON-rubicon rear D44. They will not work in rubi axles, and rubi lockers will not work in non-rubi axles.

 

I've been running an e-locker in the rear for about 2 years and have never had an issue. I'm not a hard core offroader and I'm not sure how hard you plan in pushing yours. I've been happy with mine. If my next Jeep isn't a Rubicon I will go with one again.

 

I'm running an Auburn locker in the front and a Detroit in the back. Both made by Eaton and both selectable. So far everything has been great.

The Eaton E-locker is a good choice for the front Dana 30. The rear Dana 44 version is not as strong but can be used if you're not doing any hardcore wheeling. Most non-Rubicon JKs are using ARBs for selectable lockers (OBA advantage) or Detroit Truetracs LSDs.
