Blistein 5100's
Im currently running a rough country 3.25" lift. but the rough country shocks ride like shit. Was looking at the Blistein 5100's. They have sizes from 2-3.5" lift or 4-5". My question is, would it be harmful to run a 4-5" shock on a 3.25? Reason im asking I plan on adding another 1.5 inch body lift in the near future.
As long as your bumpstops are long enough so the shocks don't bottom out, and the springs are long enough to not come unseated, you will be fine. Just be aware that the increased droop you get may mean you need to address breaklines, driveshafts, diff breathers, ect.... But the extra articulation can make it all worthwhile!
A body lift won't effect your shocks, it simply lifts the body up. If you were adding spacers to your springs, then the shocks would be needed. I agree with the Rough Country shocks, mine are very stiff, will go with either Bilsten or OME.
I honestly dont even know if I have bumpstops that came with the 3.25" lift i bought from rough country.
This is everything that came with the kit

just a tip, the lifted JK application 5100's run a little long anyway.
if that RC kit didn't come with extended length bumpstops, you will need to add them.
