could there possibly be any benifits to removing the cats from the stock exhaust? could it possibly make a difference on the amount of back pressure, and possibly help gain some mpg/power considering jeep uses a 3 way cat system. PA laws require cats on any vehicle driven over 5k miles a year.. but having buddies who can get ahold of inspection stickers and knowing your vehicle isnt a rolling death cab can pay off

off road evolution removed the cats on evo 1 and said that it actually felt like it robbed them of performance. too little back pressure.

That is true. If you remove the cats you will lose performance. And quite possibly destroy the ozone.

Hm... Was just curious since I don't run cats in my mustang. As for environment comment... I'll refrain from making a comment on that either. Maybe I'll just put some money into a cat back system and end it there

Yep I agree. Some back pressure is needed. If nothing else, Random Technology and a few others make hi flow cats

Pretty much this, no sense in upping your emissions for no reason.
