Would it be ok to run synthetic rope with a rollar fairlead? Fairlead has never been used by a steal wire.

Well I didn't believe my ATV dealer and shredded the rope. My roller was used for cable first, for 3 years or so. Any burr or defect on the roller will take out the rope. If your roller is used you're screwed.

The rollar was never used. My synthetic rope is first to touch it

2 pulls with my brand new winch with synthetic rope without a roller fairlead and my rope looks warn already..... Is this normal? I was actually told to get a roller fairlead..... By the way Daystar sells rubber rollers to replace the ones that come with the fairleads

If you want to use your roller fairlead you will need the poly rollers made specifically for synthetic line

So a brand new roller would still fray a synthetic line? I cud see a used roller messin it up.

Fully concur. Advantage of fairlead roller is just that, it has rollers and therefore reduces heat and friction that the synthetic line would experience while rubbing on a surface... Such as the 'standard' synthetic aluminum billet plate.

Common practice should be to keep your line and rollers free of dirt and debris (difficult while on the trail), any dirt or grime in either synthetic or cable will act as an abrasive. Ensure you give your line spool a good washing every now and then.
