Default engine electric fan won't Work help

After a whole day at big bear on trails my fan stop working and caused my engine to over heat..
And ideas why this happened. It happened once I was on my way down to the main road taking it easy...

Check the fuse? Check the connector for the fan?

Mine stopped working because of mud one time. I flushed all the mud out with my garden hose and it worked again.

If you have been in water or mud, it's the brush in the fan motor that are stuck. If you have any mechanical/electrical knowhow then it's an easy fix. If not, take it to an automotive electrician or your dealer if they are cool and will replace under warranty.

Thanks, yeah just took it off and am cleaning it out, hoping for the best
