Default Advice on Lift and Tire Combo

I have a 2012 2dr with just about 2K miles on it. I want to put a lift on it, I'm thinking ~3", and tires, either 33 or 35s. It's a daily driver and I don't plan on doing much, if any, rock crawling. Mostly road driving with some trail or minor offroading. I know I'll loose some mpg, but since it's a daily driver I'd prefer to try and minimze that loss as much as possible. I'm a newbie (if you couldn't tell), so basically I'd like to get some recommendations on the best lift height and tire combo for what I'm doing. Also, i don't want to have to replace TOO much stuff (other than the tires, shocks, springs, etc.), as a result of lifting it. I've heard that once you hit a certain height you have to start replacing hoses, tubes, etc. So is what I'm thinking possible? Any suggests on lift brands and/or tire brands/styles are welcome. Thanks!

I did 3" Terraflex and Toyo 285/75-17 Open Country MT's. The tires measure 33.25" on the ground and that's what I used for the AEV reprogrammer to correct the speedo. Right on as per GPS. You could use Nitto tires for less weight and noise. The stock drive shafts are fine and I picked up a replacement set for $200 on this site for if(when) they crap out. At 14 psi we have gone over more rocky terrain than I ever imagined. Downside is the weak 2.8 engine and the overgeared overdrive so I don't use it much. Later I'll get the 5.13 gears and good driveshafts. Still driveable and OK on the highway at 60-65 mph. We are in no hurry

I did 2.5 TF coil lift on 35x12.5x18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. I drive 50 miles a day and it still rides great. The AVE pro cal is a must. I didn't replace my shocks either, just extensions.
