Default Need a little help...Rusty's 3.25" basic install

Well the excitement has slowed a little. I finally decided on the Rusty's 3.25" basic. It came in this week and I couldn't wait to get it on this weekend. The front track bar gave me fits. I really liked Rusty's customer service over the phone. The biggest complaint I have is there are basically no directions, and they are closed on the weekends. I got the front on, and there are not any longer sway bar links for the front. The stock ones hit the tie rod when I turn. Please give me a link or a write up if you have one, I have searched until google nearly caught fire. I figure I need longer sway bar links, I know alot of kits move the stock back ones to the front. So, I am going to have to order new links, and be down my wifes DD until they come in. I hope I have something wrong and this can be fixed. I have seen several people installing these kits lately, hopefully someone can help. Rusty assured me I didn't need anything else with the kit, but I don't know. Someone chime in please!?!?!

It is a "Basic Kit" from what I can see on their website extended length swaybar links are not included. You really need to address this...Rusty's has them as do a number of other suppliers.

There really isn't much to this kit...however, the adjustable track bars are a nice addition.

KIT INCLUDES:
• Front Coil Springs
• Rear Coil Springs
• Front Adjustable Track Bar
• Rear Adjustable Track Bar
• Front Hydro Performance Shocks
• Rear Hydro Performance Shocks
• Brake line extensions

I was one of the lucky ones that purchased this kit when it included front swaybar disconnects. That being said, I would pick up a set of jks or similar discos

Thanks for the response guys. Well, it somewhat fixed itself after a drive around the shop. It really needs longer links in the front. The rear was pretty straight forward. I think it will all be fine, I just think rusty should include much more detailed instructions. Don't get me wrong, I still think it is a great kit. I am sure I will get some satisfaction Monday from their tech guys. Hopefully I guessed right on my track bars. Getting the axles centered is all I have to do tomorrow. Will having too short of links in the front be a safety concern as a DD on road, until the new ones arrive?

With too short of an end link you have the possibility of flipping the entire sway bar.

On level ground you want the sway bar to be parallel with the ground.

You can get adjustable end links if you are not sure exactly how long they should be.

Personally I would go with a set of JKS Quicker Disconnects. They are adjustable and allow easy removal.

I just bought a new set of rear links and put them on the front. Haven't had any problems. $60 from the dealership.

Thanks for the help. I think stock rears on the front will work just fine. I could maybe put some longer ones on the back and move mine up front, I don't know. It is installed and looks great! I am really glad its done, been a long time coming. Now its on to wheels and tires! I will do a better write up tomorrow, thanks again for the help.

I have exactly the same lift and I haven't had any problems. I did break one because I over flexed last weekend. Did you upgrade to the 5150's.
